About Makena Bauss
I\'m a recent graduate from American University Washington College of Law dedicated to utilizing my legal education to advocate for disability rights. I\'m particularly passionate about the ways our laws can help-and, unfortunately, all too often harm-disabled veterans, the elderly, and those with psychiatric/mental health diagnoses. I have experiences in both nonprofit and governmental spaces, providing both direct services to clients and supporting broader advocacy efforts in the courts and legislature alike. Prior to completing law school, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Chinese from Brigham Young University in 2017. I passed the July 2024 DC Bar with a score high enough to practice in any UBE jurisdiction and am currently awaiting admission.
