ABOUT MAKENA ANDREWS

I am a Construction Science and Management student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a strong interest in project management and on site construction opportunities. Throughout my involvement in UTK’s Women in Construction and Construction Science Clubs, I’ve gained many networking opportunities that have helped be broaden my communication skills and understanding of the construction industry. My internships doing Quantity Take-offs and Estimating have given me hands on experience of construction scopes and all that goes into the pre-construction process. Going forward, I hope to gain internship or entry-level opportunities that allow me to apply my knowledge in real-world construction settings while continuing to grow as a professional. I look forward to gaining experience on-site as I continue to pursue my career goals. I’m eager to put my academic knowledge and professional skills developed at the University of Tennessee to good use, and use them to work toward professional opportunities that align with my ambitions in construction.
