About Makayla Meers
I pride myself on being a people person in my professional life. As a senior at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, I am studying Finance and Business Analytics. I would call myself an adaptable, team-oriented, and resilient individual. Adaptability: I experienced new rules and adjustments during my leadership role in 2020. It forced me to make the most out of a situation and work on the fly when things don’t go your way. Team Oriented: I previously relied on myself to get my work done. However, recently I have learned to work with my peers and those around me to better my understanding of any scenario. I have become a collaborative individual because it has helped my individual success as well. Resilience: I learned through my injury how to persevere and get back on my feet. I pushed through a a major strain on myself as a person to return to who I previously was. In a major as popular as finance, I am working to find ways to push stereotypes and think outside the box in order to stand out.
