ABOUT MAKAYLA BEARDSLEY
After completing my Data Science B.S. from the University of Michigan, I will be continuing my education by pursuing a Master\'s of Business Analytics (MBAn) from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. I\'ve previously interned with Service Express on their Customer Success team and Bloomberg in their Global Data department. Both my educational experiences and my prior internships have solidified my passion for solving complex problems with data and ensuring that the endless streams of data that we have in the digital age are being leveraged. Additionally, I have been a part of the EECS 183 instructional team for 6 semesters now, where I have focused on developing the course materials and teaching students introductory C++ concepts. As the primary instructor for the Comprehensive Studies Program (CSP) sections, we focus on tailoring the class to be beginner-friendly for students that come from underrepresented groups here in Michigan. From this position, I have grown extremely fond of educating and ensuring equitable access to education for all, regardless of background or prior experience level. Following my graduation from Ross, I hope to find a position that allows me to continue to teach while also being able to aid companies with properly leveraging their data.
