About Makaela Bamonti
Makaela is a current master\'s-level graduate student at Regis University studying clinical mental health counseling with an emphasis on body-based and experiential psychotherapy, and various forms of person-centered, mindfulness, trauma-informed, and alternative integrative healing modalities. Makaela received her undergraduate from Colorado State University focusing on communications and journalism, working within a community of artists and writers to help them get their voices heard. Makaela is an RYT-300 certified yoga instructor and practitioner, receiving training in yoga, meditation, and breathwork in both India and Guatemala. Makaela is also a Certified Kambo Practitioner (CKP). She serves the Indigenous medicine of Kambo (the dried skin secretions of the phyllomedusa bicolor, a frog species from the Amazon Basin), used as a legal and safe transdermal medicine.
