Responsible for Advanced Manufacturing and Process Development at Marshall Space Flight Center for the past seven years. Responsible for Additive Manufacturing / 3D printing, Advanced Large Scale Composites Manufacturing, Digital Mfg. and Simulations, Integrated Digital Solutions and Reverse Engineering. I have been leading, directing, and managing manufacturing technology development and their applications to space launch vehicles. I presently direct and supervise 35 engineers, providing technical directions and perform related administrations. My duties includes monitoring and evaluation of large number of support contractor’s engaged in our support, to fulfill assigned responsibilities. I have spent significant amount of time bringing in new emerging technologies in Advanced Manufacturing during my entire career at NASA. Always looking and setting up collaborations with other centers, DOD, academia, and developing young talents, while managing branch daily activities. I have labored tirelessly in improving Engineering Directorate capabilities. I have recruited key personnel crucial for successful operation, while establishing and expanding some of center’s exciting emerging technologies in Advanced Manufacturing. I have secured funding, increased Center’s capabilities in Advanced Manufacturing and Process Development. I have been responsible in establishing the largest and most comprehensive Additive Manufacturing technology laboratory within the entire NASA agency. A few other examples are establishment of; Automated Fiber Placement Manufacturing System with variety of unique capabilities in Composites Manufacturing, procurement and installation of the largest commercially available metallic powder bed fusion system and the largest non-metallic Additive Manufacturing systems in the world. I have established the Structure Light scanning technologies, which has been crucial to success of large scale manufacturing in both metallic and nonmetallic.
