ABOUT MAJA PODLESNA
I lead integrity content design at Meta, helping 3bln people using our platforms stay safe and supported. I have over 15 years of experience in content strategy, UX design, regulatory compliance and digital marketing. I started my career working on terrorism prevention in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Subsequently, I set up global content strategies for Meta, Booking.com and Philips. I’ve lead multidisciplinary teams, mentored content designers and marketers, and partnered with executives to align on product strategy for products used by billions of users.As a leader, I\'m invested in building organizations that are diverse and represent different points of view which leads to better product decisions. I’m passionate about responsible design and, in particular, child safety in tech. At Meta, I’ve built scalable design frameworks that help keep young people safe online, and partnered with experts and NGOs to craft messaging that provides support to people in a crisis. I have been recognized as an industry expert, and shared my knowledge with other Trust and Safety professionals at TrustCon, the largest international conference focusing on online safety.
