I am a member of the society of women engineers club (SWE) on campus, which fosters a supportive environment for females in a largely male dominated field. In the Society of Women Engineers club, I have taken on the role as a mentor for younger students pursuing an engineering degree. I help to guide younger students through their first year in the engineering program, provide them with advice, and serve as a connection to different resources on campus.
ABOUT MAIRIN MULLEN
I am a student at California Polytechnic State University, pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Currently, I\'m involved in early-stage research and development with the Medical Design Club, where I am working to create a self-administered tourniquet. Additionally, I have been selected to be a mentor for younger female engineering students in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) program. With diverse job experiences, I\'m highly adaptable, and I earned the Seal of Biliteracy in English and Spanish in 2022.
