Samuel Munzele Maimbo is the Vice President, Budget, Performance Review & Strategic Planning (BPS) at the World Bank Group. He is responsible for aligning the World Bank\'s budget with its strategic priorities, financial sustainability objectives, efficiency targets and business needs. A Zambian national, Samuel has held various positions across the institution, including Chief of Staff, Office of the President; Director, IDA Mobilization and IBRD Corporate Finance, Senior Advisor in the Office of the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, and Practice Manager in the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice. Prior to the World Bank, Samuel held positions at the Bank of Zambia and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Samuel holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration (University of Manchester), an MBA in Finance (University of Nottingham), a BSc. in Accounting (Copperbelt University, Zambia), and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA, UK).
