Managing strategic delivery plan for Regional Improvement and Innovation Alliance’ on behalf of ten Local Authorities in the East Midlands region. The regional collaboration aims to support and improve; partnership working, peer learning and outcome-focused cost-effective delivery of services across the region. I am coordinating projects worth over £2 million. • Leading on CANDIICE (Creative Approaches to New Democracy through Innovative Inclusive Citizenship Education) Project. It is an Erasmus funded pan-European project involving Germany, Portugal, France, Croatia and UK. The project aims to create a number of learning resources, trial them in both formal and informal educational settings and disseminate the final materials across the EU. • Leading on developing and delivering study visits for foreign teachers and education leaders. We have hosted delegations from Indonesia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Holland and a few other countries. Previous projects/responsibilities: • Liaised between Home Office and East Midlands LAs to support Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children • Supported development and delivery of “Young Diverse and Equal” an accreditation scheme to ensure equality in schools • Led a pilot project on raising achievements through mentoring in schools • On behalf of the German government, managed a Europe-wide network of professionals to support ‘hard-to-reach’ learners • Managed Islam and Citizenship Education Project, funded by the DfE and DCLG. This project created lesson plans and training materials to teach citizenship from an Islamic perspective. It was a national project, but materials have been accessed in over 30 countries around the world • Coordinated development of School Improvement Exchange to facilitate school to school support • Led development and delivery of an infrastructure to support after-school provisions in Leicester • Supported quality assurance process for a school workforce CPD programme
