About Mahi Sanghvi

I am a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering student pursuing an Associate’s degree in the Honors Program at Middlesex College with a 4.0 GPA, currently preparing to transfer to a four-year institution. I am driven by a love for design, problem-solving, and building systems that actually help people, especially in robotics engineering and rehabilitation technology, where engineering meets real-world impact.On campus, I serve as President of the Society of Women Engineers and as a Student Representative on both the College Assembly and Academic Standards Task Force, working alongside faculty and administrators to advocate for students and improve academic life. I am also a Student Ambassador, Vice President of the Transfer Success Club, and a proud member of Phi Theta Kappa, balancing leadership roles with a demanding technical course load.I work as a Teaching Assistant in the Engineering Department, where I support students in MEC-123 (Technical Graphics and CAD I), MEC-125 (Advanced Mechanical Drawing and CAD II), and MEC-119 (Graphic Science). I love helping classmates gain confidence with AutoCAD, spatial visualization, and technical drawings, and I take pride in making engineering feel approachable rather than intimidating.My technical interests include CAD modeling, mechanical design, MATLAB, 3D printing, and system analysis, but what excites me most is the creative side of engineering. I enjoy turning rough ideas into clean designs, asking better questions, and constantly learning how things work beneath the surface.My career, like any design, is an iteration, never final, always improving. Each step I take builds the next version of myself, one that is closer to the engineer I aspire to be.
