With over 19 years of engineering leadership experience, I am a retail technology expert and an innovation leader at Target, where I direct the development of extensible solutions across processes and technology that significantly improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. I have a master\'s degree in electrical engineering and strong skills in business strategy and providing retail technology solution.As a Director of Engineering, I led the multi-year POS (Point of Sale) modernization effort, replacing the legacy system with an enterprise checkout platform and core services that powered experience-centric UI across various registers in the store. This platform supports more than 70% of all checkout transactions done across Target, reaching close to 10 million transactions per day during peak periods. I also built and delivered a register platform that can host profile-centric single-page UI applications that are operating system agnostic and interact with peripherals exposed as services. I collaborated with infrastructure partners to lead critical technology transformations and enable new business capabilities with speed and quality.I am passionate about learning and applying emerging technologies and modern infrastructure to formulate and implement product strategies in a cost-effective and scalable fashion.
