BSOC- Seat Change Notification Engine to give better service to customers It is a part of Upgrade Management (part of BSOC ) team. BSOC is a team that provides and align seats to the customers based on the earned category and also send notifications to the customers about the flight status, flight cancellations/delays, gate changes, travel reminders, upgrades and seat changes via EMAIL/PHONE/PUSH/SMS - Created multiple Spring Boot Microservices which acts as a Notification Engine, to notify about flight information like (flight change, gate change, seat change) to a passenger. Application listener will look for messages in IBM MQ and Tibco EMS Queues send appropriate notification to the passenger- Created SOAP Service Client and REST Client to consume the flight and customer details- Migrated legacy like EJB functionalities and Structs 1.2 applications into Spring MVC, Spring Boot Microservices to application. Migrated all the Structs tiles into Spring tiles and Structs tag libraries into JSTL Core libraries- Deploying Microservices in Cloud Environment ( Red hat OpenShift) by using all internal tools like Jenkins and Kubernetes ( K8s).
