Heading end-to-end operations responsibilities for the container cargo business on a Pan India level with a team of 20 direct and 50 indirect resources. Span of operations includes 15 terminals (company owned/3rd party and ports), 10 container trains, 5 warehouses and company owned an ILP (Integrated Logistics Parks). Accountable for domestic business growth, revenue generation, strategy planning, budgeting, operations, handling & transportation, process improvements, cost optimization, vendor management, financial planning (WCM), stakeholder and team management. Reporting to MD. Business Growth Grew Created roadmap for increasing the Domestic LOB from initial INR 70 Cr to INR 200+ Cr within the short tenure and successfully implementedStrategic Initiatives Joined the newly carved role with the mandate of scaling up and growing the business operations in India and of strengthening the transportation & handling SBU Formulating long/short term business growth and operational strategy plans in alignment with the overall business objectives as part of the Executive Decision Making team Revised and strengthened the operational framework including the policies, processes and systems Focused on developing the domestic LOB by devising various new domestic marketing strategies and interventions:o Added new business streams, expanded the network geography and started new transportation routes to capitalize on new business opportunities Strategized for optimizing the WCM (Working Capital Management) critical for business expansion; tied up with partners like freight forwarders:o Built-in a stringent governance structure; implemented internal checks and controls, improved collections and minimized the credit cycle Led various cost optimization agendas; designed a hub-and-spoke model arrangement with railways and availed benefits of the railway haulage model:
