WORK HISTORY
Rehab Support Worker @NHS England
Sidmouth, GB
In my role as a Band 3 Rehabilitation Support Worker at Sidmouth Hospital, Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Trust, I support safe and timely patient discharge by delivering rehabilitation interventions that improve mobility, function, and independence. I work within a large multidisciplinary team, liaising with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing and medical staff, and discharge teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care. I assist with and carry out physiotherapy and occupational therapy programmes as directed, including therapeutic exercises, mobility practice, transfers, gait re-education, and functional activities of daily living. I monitor patient progress and tolerance, report changes promptly, and accurately document interventions in line with Trust policies, while supporting equipment use, falls prevention, patient safety, dignity, infection control, and confidentiality.

ABOUT MAHBUBA TABASSUM
Passionate about physiotherapy since my teenage years, I have pursued this goal across continents. I grew up in Malaysia and Bangladesh, completed my Bachelor’s degree, and recently earned my Master’s in the UK. My multicultural background has made me multilingual, with fluency in seven languages. My career journey has been diverse, beginning with part-time work during school and progressing through roles in call centres, teaching, and interpreter training. These experiences strengthened my communication, time management, and adaptability skills. Frequent relocations have shaped me into a quick learner who thrives in new environments.I have one year of clinical experience from Egypt and six months of NHS experience in the UK, and I am HCPC and CSP registered. I am now actively seeking opportunities to work as a physiotherapist, and I am open to relocating anywhere in the UK for the right role.
