ABOUT MAHBOOB GHARIBI
I’ve always been driven by the desire to turn ideas into tangible, functional creations. My passion for building began as a child, when I crafted a wheelbarrow from a tricycle wheel and an old air conditioning box—an early sign of my lifelong interest in mechanics. This passion led me to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering, with the goal of becoming a professional who could bring innovative designs to life. My career began with hands-on projects at Fateh Group (FG), a leading manufacturer in Iran\'s oil and gas sector. During my time there, I specialized in the modeling and analysis of pressure equipment using Finite Element Methods (FEM), specifically with ABAQUS software, while ensuring compliance with industry codes such as ASME, ASTM, and API. I also developed strong communication skills, learning how to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to complex engineering projects. Seeking to deepen my expertise in computational methods and simulation, I pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering-Computational Modeling & Simulation at the University of British Columbia (UBC). The program allowed me to strengthen my technical knowledge and gain advanced skills in engineering design, simulation, and programming. With my academic background and practical experience, I am now equipped with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical equipment design, engineering processes, and advanced manufacturing techniques. I’m particularly interested in prototyping, design development, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies and simulation to solve real-world engineering challenges. I’m eager to continue applying my skills to innovative projects in industry, contributing to the development of efficient, high-performance mechanical systems.
