About Maharsh Shah

I am an undergraduate student at Purdue University (West Lafayette) pursuing Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Structures and Materials. Through student-led organizations, I am gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing, structural design, and analysis of aerospace subsystems, applying tools such as CAD, FEA, CNC machining, MATLAB, and other industry-driven software. With a focus on designing and building complex mechanical systems, I continuously seek opportunities to learn across engineering-driven industries and am currently seeking internship opportunities in manufacturing, structures, or related areas.I am currently part of Purdue Lunabotics, a student-led team participating in the NASA Lunabotics Competition by developing a lunar mining robot. I am also enrolled in Purdue Milestone workshops this semester focused on GD & T and 3DEXPERIENCE. Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling and embracing new experiences, which helps me maintain my mental and physical well-being.

   I will support the manufacturing and structural verification of selected excavation subsystem components for a lunar-regolith mining rover developed for a NASA-sponsored competition. My work will focus primarily on hands-on fabrication and assembly in the Bechtel Innovation Design Center, with targeted structural analysis used to inform manufacturability and component reliability. I will collaborate with the excavation subteam to ensure fabricated parts meet design intent, tolerances, and system-level requirements for operation in a space-analog environment.
