ABOUT ANURAG MAHAJAN
I’m a Mechanical Engineer currently pursuing my MS at Virginia Tech, specializing in tire modeling, vehicle dynamics, and simulation-driven design. My research focuses on developing advanced run-flat tire solutions using tools like Abaqus and FE-SAFE to improve structural performance and durability- I’ve worked as a CAE intern at Applus IDIADA, where I gained hands-on experience with durability and crash simulations for BIW and plastic assemblies, applying industry-standard meshing techniques and FEA practices- At EVANO Mobility, I contributed to the end-to-end development of electric two-wheelers, working on powertrain benchmarking, vehicle testing, and building custom data acquisition systems to support performance optimization- My foundation in manufacturing and design was built through SAE BAJA, where I led powertrain and chassis development, using SolidWorks, ANSYS, and various machining techniques to take components from concept to testing.Actively seeking full-time opportunities in product development, simulation, or vehicle R&D where I can bridge advanced modeling with real-world testing to deliver reliable next-gen mobility solutions.
