About Mahadev Bramhankar
I am a PhD candidate in Biostatistics and Demography at the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, India. I have completed my Master\'s (M.Sc.) and MPhil from the same institute. I am deeply passionate about research and committed to exploring innovative concepts to gain meaningful insights into population studies and epidemiological phenomena, focusing on the burden of diseases, morbidity, mortality, and ageing in the Indian context. I have over five years of academic and research experience, specializing in statistical methods and core areas of population studies, including biostatistics, epidemiology, population health, and developmental issues. I have published more than ten research papers in peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed journals and participated in numerous national and international conferences. Furthermore, I possess extensive hands-on experience conducting quantitative research using various large-scale datasets and statistical tools.

The METROPOLIS program, a four-year intervention-based Randomized controlled Trial (RCT) funded by the Wellcome Trust. This innovative project focuses on improving mental health outcomes among university students across various sites in Delhi. The program is a collaborative effort involving a diverse team of partners from King’s College London, Jindal Global University, Youth for Mental Health Organization, and Brighton and Sussex Medical School. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute my skills and expertise to this impactful initiative and would like to thank Sangath, New Delhi for their trust and commitment to advancing mental health for young people.
