Was hired by Affinity Water to head the IT Security function as the Security Leader/CISO and the most senior cybersecurity specialist in the business, acting as the strategic process owner of all assurance activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of customer, business partner, employee, physical assets and business information in compliance with the organisation\'s information security policies. A key element of the role is working with executive management to determine acceptable levels of risk for the organisation. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide physical & information security management program to ensure that assets are adequately protected. The leader will ensure that that Affinity Water Ltd (AWL) complies with relevant legislation, regulation, corporate best practice, and technical guidance. The role will be responsible in all matters relating to security and provide security consultancy across all departments of the business • Reporting to the board on security matters, KPIs and being an active member of the senior management team • Maintain and monitor the strategic, comprehensive enterprise security, and risk management programs and own the deployment of new security technologies • Manage security audits and risk assessments • Oversee the management of the security department, giving leadership to the teams and developing and mentoring staff • Assist in the drive for change projects and building new security capabilities • Act as incident security management lead during issues and crisis to ensure services and systems are maintained, recovered and correctly assessed, ensure that regulatory reporting and remediation is performed • Devise strategies and implement solutions to minimise the risk of cyber-attacks • Oversee the management of the Information Security Management Systems • Championing and educating the organisation about the latest security strategies and technologies
