Business to business: chemical, food, feed and pharmaceutical ingredients and additives- Responsibility for compliance and technical leadership as a member of the site senior leadership team, reporting directly to the General Manager, on an Upper Tier COMAH site. Brenntag is the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution- Site wide high-level decision making, including delivering cross-functional initiatives, monitoring and taking action to meet site safety and compliance KPIs, P&L performance, and on time in full (OTIF) performance- Delivered a best in class safety and quality management system. This was a ground-up redesign of the whole system, including a new HACCP plan and over 70 new procedures and polices drafted, consulted upon and implemented- Achieved the highest level of third-party audit results consistently, including BRCGS Food Safety (AA grade) with zero non-conformances in April 2025. This is the best ever audit outcome for Brenntag UK- Moved the site to a permanent ‘audit ready’ state through development of site safety and quality culture using industry best practices- Ensured compliance with regulatory, customer and third party standards. Led the design of the site’s safety and quality plan, including enhanced safety communication and engagement with all people on site- Conducted risk assessments and other safety assessments, such as human factors analysis and process safety management, to be compliant with HSE requirements- Transformed investigation and resolution of safety and quality incidents and non-conformances by introducing a standardised methodology. As a result, all incidents are now investigated thoroughly, formally reported on and submitted on time, in line with the business’ KPIs- Leadership and development of both direct reports and the wider compliance function for the UK and Ireland.
