Responsible for the transport of patients, medical equipment, confidential documents and medication around the hospital safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:•Ensuring the best patient care when transporting between wards and departments e.g. radiology, intensive care, mortuary etc.• Understanding the policies and procedures to ensure correct transport of patients, confidential information and medical equipment such as patient documents, gas, medical waste etc.• Social skills to ensure patients remain comfortable and confident that they are receiving the best possible care when faced with various health problems.• Able to withstand the pressure and high-paced environment of hospitals whilst always adhering to policies, particularly applicable in A&E.
