I’ve worked in Community Engagement and Sustainability at PwC for over 17 years and am driven by the belief that businesses have a vital role to play in creating positive social and environmental impacts. I’m passionate about fostering a culture of corporate citizenship, where employees are encouraged and enabled to contribute their skills and resources to make a difference.I lead PwC’s award winning Social Entrepreneurs Club, a UK wide network that shares the skills of our people with ambitious social entrepreneurs, to help them tackle society’s most important problems and drive social and environmental change. The Club now has a membership of over 350 social enterprise leaders and PwC’s support for the social enterprise community has grown to include bringing social enterprises into our supply through SEUK’s Buy Social Corporate Challenge and working alongside social enterprises as part of Social Value requirements in public sector procurement.I also collaborate with and support our UK regions to fully embed Community Engagement priorities within regional Place & Purpose plans. As part of these plans, PwC uses its convening power to bring together businesses, government, social enterprises and community leaders, as well as our people, to improve outcomes in the places in which we work. This Place & Purpose agenda goes to the heart of PwC’s purpose to build trust in society and solve important problems.I feel most inspired when I am managing multiple projects, and working collaboratively to solve problems and make a difference to people, communities and the environment. I\'m currently participating in PwC’s Emerging Leaders Programme, a flagship 10 month leadership development programme for the firm’s top performing Managers.
