ABOUT MAGGIE MAKOSIEJ

Hey there, I\'m Maggie, an undergraduate Graphic Communications student at Clemson University passionate about design & collaboration with experience in graphics, print & production. I am currently immersing myself in a vibrant academic environment that seamlessly integrates creativity and technical expertise, as well as growing my knowledge of business through a minor in business administration. The GC program at Clemson is distinctively designed to offer a comprehensive education that spans the realms of design, marketing, and production processes. This multifaceted approach not only prepares me for various industry roles but also fosters a holistic understanding of how effective visual communication operates in real-world scenarios. Currently, I am gaining valuable hands-on experience as a Graphic Design Intern for the Gantt Multicultural Center, where I have the opportunity to create diverse content and manage various media modes. This role allows me to apply my classroom knowledge to practical projects, enhancing my skills while contributing to my community at Clemson. My journey into graphic communications began with a lifelong passion for crafting and creating. From drawing in Procreate on my iPad in middle school to exploring design and creativity through launching my own small business, my early interests shaped my decision to pursue this field as a career. The Clemson program stood out to me because of its unique combination of design principles and technical production techniques. I appreciate how the curriculum emphasizes not just aesthetic design but also the practicalities of print production, including processes like flexography and screen printing. This comprehensive training equips me with the skills needed to excel in diverse roles within the industry, whether in creative design, project management, or technical production.I am deeply passionate about creating and helping individuals and organizations bring their visions to life. The challenge of designing cohesive brands, developing engaging visual content, and ensuring successful press runs is what excites me! I thrive in collaborative settings, where brainstorming innovative concepts and working together towards shared goals is a fundamental part of the process. I look forward to applying my skills in a professional environment that embraces creativity and innovation!
