I am committed to creating a just world, where people have the power, choice, and opportunities they need to thrive. As Executive Director of the Strozzi Institute for Somatics, I get to collaborate with a team of senior leaders, teachers and coaches who know that the transformation we seek in the world is dependent on our collective ability to embody those changes in our current day actions and relationships. Together, we get to do just that—train leaders to embody their deepest commitments, even under pressure, and practice that ourselves—all for the sake of more just and vibrant systems of safety, belonging and dignity.My work as a nonprofit leader, a collaborator in social justice movements and in philanthropy all reflect this ethos. From legislative campaigns and advocacy to leadership development and somatic coaching, my work is focused on unraveling systems of privilege and oppression and creating openings for new ways of being. I connect people to essential partners, resources, information and practices—providing tools necessary to push for change and expand collective power.I am proud to serve on the board of the North Star Fund and to be able to use my background to help launch and support organizations that grow progressive political power. It is deeply meaningful to be able to build with people who are moving us forward on the most pressing justice efforts of our time. I look forward to continuing to weave connections across our organizations and communities, contributing to stronger, more fully embodied efforts for collective change.
