I believe in giving people the support, training, and tools needed to be successful and to achieve cost savings targets and favorable commercial terms.I have more than 15 years of experience in indirect procurement both as an individual contributor handling all strategic sourcing activities and as a leader responsible for a team that managed strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and NPI purchases. In my role as a Director, I managed much of the day to day operations within Corporate Procurement including creating reports for spend analysis and cost savings, team metrics, process and policy compliance, and mergers and acquisition activities. I have commodity expertise managing inbound software including technology and intellectual property. As a user and a leader, I have an aptitude for tools used in procurement. I\'ve been a subject matter expert for Oracle Purchasing and iProcurement as well as for Business Objects Web Intelligence. I participated in the implementation of new features, enhancements, and modifications in Oracle and Business Objects, created user documentation and provided training. I led the implementation of Ariba\'s e-sourcing application. My goal is to ensure the purchasing team can improve efficiency by becoming proficient using the tools available to them.
