About Maggie Deer
Hello! I’m Maggie, a production designer and artist passionate about bringing stories to life. I am a recent production design alum of the Savannah College of Art and Design, currently working as a scenic designer for JM Entertainment, based in Asheville, NC. While my current role is focused on design and fabrication for theme parks and resorts, including foam sculpture and scenic painting, I also love production design for both stage and film. My short film, L’Ouverture, is currently in the film festival circuit as an official selection for the 2026 Thomas Edison Film Festival. I also specialize in model making, and recently had my models showcased in the Where We Find Ourselves exhibit at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. In addition to that, I have several years of experience stage managing musicals, concerts, and events.
