As a member of the senior leadership team, I am accountable for the strategic management of five global centres that deliver development programmes for the Global Girls Guiding and Girl Scouting Movement (Mexico, India, Africa region, UK, Switzerland). I also lead formation of the annual departmental operational planning and budgeting and act as a key stakeholder in the development of the Global Strategy 2024 – 2029. Highlights include:• Directing and developing organisational operations, core initiatives, and policies that act as a framework and provide clarity of vision necessary for international alignment around core values and governance framework.• Leading and inspiring a culturally diverse team of 40 staff operating in 7 countries.• Mobilising multi-million-pound funds for the World Centres, focusing heavily on operational cost controls to improved head office budget efficiencies.• Acting as organisation lead on key people management portfolios, safeguarding, DEI, staff travel safety and security: led substantive re-development of the organisation’s safeguarding policy; led development of the organisation’s first anti-racism report and action plan; implemented a new senior management travel approval process including full assessment of risk to staff.• Engage influentially with key donors within the movement including HNWIs and leaders of members organisations.
