About Maggie Beach
I’m a Software Engineer at the Mayo Clinic and a recent M.S. in Computer Science graduate from the University of Minnesota Duluth. My work sits at the intersection of healthcare and technology, with a focus on building tools that make real people’s lives easier.For my master’s thesis, I designed, built, and piloted Caregiver Connect, a mobile app that supports unpaid caregivers of individuals with dementia through shared care calendars, medication tracking, daily logs, and peer support. This work strengthened my skills in mobile and full-stack development, human-centered design, and applied research.I’m also deeply committed to teaching and mentorship. I served as a Teaching Assistant in Computer Science and was honored with an Outstanding Graduate TA Award, helping students build confidence with modern tools and development practices.Across everything I do, I’m driven by curiosity, a love of learning, and a desire to create practical, meaningful impact in people’s everyday lives.
