About Magda Kondaridze
I am Magdana Kondaridze, a graduate research assistant and a graduate student instructor at Washington State University. I have over four years of experience in teaching, researching, and leading in the field of economics, with a focus on international trade, econometrics, consumer economics, and data analytics. I am a PhD candidate in Economics at WSU; I hold an MS in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Wyoming and two Bachelors in Business Administration and Agribusiness from Georgia and Armenia.My passion for economics stems from my curiosity about the complex interactions and interdependencies of global markets and actors. Through my academic and professional endeavors, I have developed strong skills in communication, statistical data analysis, and research. I have published multiple papers in prestigious journals, such as the Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics and the Journal of Agricultural Economics, using the gravity model of international trade and advanced econometric methods. I have also taught intermediate microeconomics to online students and chaired the GPSA programming committee, where I promoted mental health, diversity, and inclusion awareness among graduate and professional students. Outside of my academic and professional life, I enjoy writing, reading, psychology, photography, and traveling. These pursuits enrich my perspective, creativity, and empathy, which are essential for my role as an economist, a researcher, and a teacher. I am always eager to learn new things, collaborate with others, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and society.
