About Magali Pinat
I am a senior economist working at the International Monetary Fund in the Fiscal Affairs department. I joined the IMF in the Economist Program and worked in the Middle East and Central Asia department and the Institute for Capacity Development. I had previously worked as a consultant at the World Bank, one year in the office of the Chief Economist and four years in the office of the Regional Chief Economist of Latin America. My research focuses on international economics, and more specifically on the characteristics and relevance of the trade and finance network structures on knowledge diffusion, productivity, economic growth, and global risk.
