ABOUT MAGALI LANGHORNE
With over 20 years of regulatory, supervisory and industry professional experience, I am a leader in Deloitte’s Global and US Risk, Regulatory, & Forensic practice, where I am known first and foremost for providing my clients with deeply trusted and strategic guidance on AML and Sanctions compliance, regulatory expectations, complex enforcement action response navigation and remediations, as well as industry best practices. I provide tailored and focused leadership to C-suite executives and Board of Directors regarding effective program implementation, focusing on transparency, efficiency and responsiveness, all within the broader context of compliance with regulatory expectations. Simply put, I help my clients tell their holistic story from the most effective vantage point, ensuring their best foot forward at all times. I take great pride in their successes and am honored to be part of their journeys.Prior to joining Deloitte, I served as an Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY), where I lead the BSA/AML supervision of 180+ domestic and foreign financial institutions. In this role, I oversaw AML and Sanctions examinations of complex firms, coordinating with senior state regulators, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and senior U.S. Treasury officials. My supervisory responsibilities have taken me all over the world, where I have provided AML/Sanctions regulatory training to global C-suite executives and central bank supervisory officials throughout Europe, Africa and the middle east. Most recently, I served as Deputy Head of Financial Crimes Compliance at the FRBNY, where I designed and launched the Bank’s AML program strategy. I started my career by actually doing; I’ve held various AML program related positions (KYC, transaction monitoring, etc.) at Bear Stearns, JP Morgan Chase and the Bank of New York. It is within this backdrop of regulatory, supervisory and industry knowledge that I show up for my clients, each and every day.Outside of my professional activities, I am an equestrian and strong animal rights advocate. Being a native New Orleanian, I love all things JazzFest, brass bands and great food!
