About Whelan
I am a dedicated and passionate Junior at the University of Pittsburgh, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I have set my sights on a future career as a Therapist through a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, driven by my desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young adults navigating life transitions and emotional challenges. My interest lies in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that focuses on understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through my studies, I have gained valuable insights into the field of psychology and developed a deep appreciation for the role that mental health professionals play in fostering resilience and promoting well-being.As I continue my journey toward becoming a mental health counselor, I am eager to expand my knowledge and skills through internships, research opportunities, and connections with like-minded professionals. My strong work ethic, compassion, and commitment to personal and professional growth make me a valuable addition to any team or organization. Please feel free to connect with me if you share my passion for mental health, counseling, or CBT, or if you have any opportunities that align with my goals. I look forward to learning from and collaborating with individuals dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others!
