As CEO of OneSubsea, my role is to usher in a new era for subsea by pushing the limits of what is possible. The joint venture launched in 2023 by SLB, Aker Solutions and Subsea7, is built on a foundation of partnership and integrity, focused on accelerating innovation to improve subsea asset performance, while increasing energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions.Previously, I led the global subsea business at SLB. Prior to that, I was vice president of the global SLB subsea processing systems division. When I’m not thinking about subsea, I very much enjoy keeping active, and spending time with my family. I’m also a keen footballer and football fan, and I have leveraged my experience as a player and as a coach for my professional career – which has been particularly helpful in terms of team dynamics, as well as trust and transparency among our team. I’m passionate about driving team performance, and I believe the ability to do so is closely linked to the level of psychological safety that exists in a team, and the ability to fail safely.I also believe strongly in enabling people to feel safe, which unleashes vast potential among teams in terms of innovation, collaboration and performance. This is how 1+1 becomes more than 2.My aspirational behavior, therefore, is; “we experiment, we learn and we grow”.Academically, I hold a master’s degree in marine technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
