ABOUT MARK DODDS

UK fashion brands selling into Europe are facing a wave of compliance obligations — EU packaging EPR, textile EPR, and Digital Product Passports — with real deadlines and real penalties for getting it wrong.I work as an embedded materials, compliance and sustainability consultant for brands that need the expertise without the overhead of a full-time hire. My clients are typically UK-based fashion brands with turnover between £5–40m, selling into EU markets or operating EU subsidiaries. What I do:EU EPR packaging compliance — registration, reporting, and fee management across France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, and other markets.EU textile EPR — the revised Waste Framework Directive made textile EPR mandatory across all member states in September 2025, with national schemes required to be operational by April 2028. I help brands understand their obligations, register with the right PROs, and build reporting processes that scale.Digital Product Passports — preparing brands for ESPR requirements coming into force for textiles by mid-2027, including material traceability, data architecture, and supplier engagement.Materials and fabric technical services — fabric specification, sustainable fibre sourcing, and supply chain compliance, drawing on 20+ years working with UK fashion brands and suppliers.I\'m a certified Practitioner in Environmental Management (PIEMA) and hold a BA in Textile Management from the University of Leeds. If you\'re a UK brand selling into Europe and unsure what EPR means for your business, get in touch.
