About Madison Maxey

I’m genuinely excited about materials and the fundamental work we are doing at Loomia. My career has been focused on building the foundation for this vision: developing e-textiles and innovative material prototypes that led directly to the patents underpinning Loomia’s core technology. As a Thiel Fellow and a Forbes 30 Under 30 Member, my focus has always been on creating tangible, disruptive innovation. My background demonstrates validation at scale, having developed e-textile workshops and prototypes for major global companies including North Face, Google, Adidas, and Corning. This industry experience is paired with thought leadership, where I’ve been invited to lecture on my work at top institutions such as Columbia University, NYU, and Parsons School of Design.Beyond materials, I enjoy computational design and physical computing, having held creative technology residencies at Autodesk and School of Visual Arts (SVA). This blend of technical and creative innovation has earned significant recognition, including being a Smithsonian Museum featured female inventor and a TED@NYC selected speaker. I also stand as one of the founders highlighted by Project Diane (a database tracking funding for Black women founders) for raising over $1M.Let\'s build something!
