As a neurosurgical PA, my role is to assist the attending surgeon in the inpatient, outpatient, and operating room settings. I work with a variety of patients with varying levels of acuity. I perform H & Ps on new consults, participate in daily inpatient rounds, and order pre/post-operative care for our surgical patients.I am able to conduct new patient interviews and help provide continuity of care during post-op visits with patients and their families in conjunction with the attending physician.I am an active participant in patient safety and quality assurance initiatives as well as continuing medical education.
