ABOUT MADISON GIBLER

As a civil engineer at Burns & McDonnell, I primarily work on stormwater, wastewater collection, and water distribution projects in Water Systems Department. I perform site civil design for water and wastewater facility projects.I had a wise uncle once tell me that \"civil engineers, we\'re just a bunch of civil servants.\" I\'ve taken that to heart in my career, by working closely with municipalities and utilities to provide stormwater, wastewater, and water services to their rate payers.I have a breadth of experience in the water industry. I’ve spent a majority of my career helping communities, organizations and businesses develop sustainable environments through green stormwater infrastructure, stormwater conveyance and watershed planning. I’ve worked on Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) compliance, water quality sampling, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling. I have experience designing water distribution and wastewater collection projects, including sewer separation. My work has also included integrated planning for wet weather issues in combined sewer overflow (CSO) basins to meet regulatory and water quality requirements. My experience spans all phases of a project from planning, through design and construction as well as post-construction monitoring.I have a master’s degree in environmental engineering and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology.
