About Madison Demyan
I am second-year law student at Capital University Law School with a background in wrongful conviction and mental health advocacy. During my first year of law school, I immersed myself in the legal community both inside and outside the classroom. I was honored to be selected as the Director of Programming and Public Relations for Capital University’s Women’s Law Association. In this role, I help plan and execute internal and external programming, strengthen relationships with local organizations like the Women Lawyers of Franklin County, coordinate logistics for events, and support recruiting and outreach efforts to grow our organization’s impact. I was also selected to join the Capital University Law School Mock Trial Team, a student-run trial advocacy honors society. Through this program, I received litigation training, gain hands-on experience crafting and delivering opening and closing arguments, conducting direct and cross-examinations, and navigating evidentiary objections - all within a simulated courtroom environment. I look forward to developing and enhancing my practical and oral advocacy skills that will shape my future as a lawyer.
