About Madison Moore

Madison Moore is a sophomore English major on the pre-law track attending the illustrious Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Since interning at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Genetics Institute in high school, where she learned about the impact of environmental racism, Madison has been dedicated to engaging herself and others in environmental action. Previously, Madison has served with the Cumberland River Compact (Nashville, TN), Tennessee State Senator Charlane Oliver (District 19), and the Georgia Conservation Voters, all of which have informed her of the importance of community, the environment, and engaging in local/state politics. On campus, Madison serves as a Spelman College Social Justice Program Associate, focusing on Environmental/Food Justice, where she actively develops advocacy skills centered on environmental justice through colloquia and engaging with students within the program. She also serves as a Democracy House Young Leader Civic Action Program Fellow, a program that will guide her in creating and executing a community project to benefit the student bodies of both Spelman and Morehouse College. In the future, Madison plans to attend law school and become an Environmental Attorney who will focus on BIPOC/Low Income communities who suffer from the effects of environmental racism.
