As the Outreach and Communications Coordinator for the Clemson University Research and Education in Disease Diagnostic and Intervention lab, I demonstrate a strong history of collaborating with others, managing multiple projects at once, networking, educating local communities and executing ideas successfully. This position requires me to interface with the multiple divisions within the lab and work to collaborate with each. I coordinate and plan many events to create a community within the lab, showcase the important research occurring, encourage scientific talks, educate the general public with reliable information, and create service projects to allow the laboratory staff to enhance their understanding of the broader implications of their work.I am an experienced laboratory technician for the REDDI Lab with a demonstrated history of working in the public health industry. This position has required me to be able to communicate efficiently with my co-workers, understand the processes going on within the lab, follow and stay up to date with the ever changing protocols, and work efficiently to ensure samples are processed in order to be resulted in a timely manner for the patients.I am pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology with a concentration in biomedicine and a minor in biological sciences. The rigorous curriculum has disciplined me as a student and challenged me as an individual to grow my knowledge and apply such knowledge to everyday life. I aim to pursue my masters in health administration in order to manage parts of a healthcare system and ultimately improve healthcare delivery. My pursuit of a management position in my career stems from my desire to help those in need in a way that I know I can excel in. With my strong background in the clinical lab, I have seen firsthand the importance of having strong leaders within a diverse and complex environment. I believe that with my experience, I have a talent for leading others to success.
