ABOUT MADHURI K.

As a child when I was in grade I was asked, what would I like to become when I grow up and to that question I answered, “I want to become a teacher.” I think I said so at that time because my teacher was the person I spent most of my time with after my mother, I could go to her at all times whether good or bad, happy or sad.After 2 years of my daughter’s birth in 2006 I decided to join a school near my house to teach the preschool children. That is when I realized how much I was enjoying my job and the job never felt like a job at all, being with the little children and their innocence was incredible. Each day was a new learning experience for me with the little children doing such wonders and my efforts trying to help them do things better made me realize this is what I want to do and I love doing.I have taught at Step by Step International School (Jaipur) and Neerja Modi School (Jaipur) as a preschool teacher for over 2 years from 2006 to 2008.After a litter break I joined Kidville (Mumbai) as a mother toddler and playgroup teacher in the July 2013, Kidville shutdown in May 2014 and now I am at Ecole Mondiale World School(Mumbai) teaching the playgroup since January 2015.With my experience over the years I have learnt that children have a mind of their own, each one of them is unique in his own way, there can be no set pattern to teach them, exploring things and materials is how they learn best and we as teachers should guide them and answer them when they question with curiosity. Being a part of their learning and letting them feel it is alright to do things differently is the best way of teaching them.Thank you.
