Hands-on technology leader with over 25 years of rich and diverse experience in consumer internet and enterprise software companies spanning USA, Japan and India Started my career in the San Francisco Bay Area after completing MS in Computer Science from University of Florida. As a founding member of the software engineering team at Covad Communications, I contributed to solving the broadband internet last mile problem in USA, Japan and India. This involved developing software at Covad, then working with a system integrator to customize and transfer technology to Acca Networks in Japan and DishnetDSL in India During 20••••08, after enrolling in the PhD program at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), I worked on mathematical models for analysing software (software is also data!). We collaborated with researchers at Microsoft Research and General Motors Research and published papers in top tier computer science conferences such as ACM OOPSLA and Computer Aided Verification (CAV) As SVP of Data Science at MakeMyTrip (NASDAQ: MMYT), India\'s largest online travel e-commerce company, I built and grew the data science team and collaborate with business heads, product, revenue, software and data engineering teams for flights, hotels & rails businesses to improve customer experience and operational efficiency At Amazon, applying science to improve seller & customer experience
