With over three decades of experience in the Indian film and television industry, I have dedicated my career to the art of storytelling and visual expression. My journey began in 1989, working as an observer in Bengali cinema, and since then, I have collaborated with some of the most esteemed filmmakers, including Smt. Aparna Sen, Shri Prabhat Roy, and the late Shri Dilip Biswas.My expertise spans across feature films, television, documentaries, docu-features, and music videos, serving in roles such as Associate Director, Chief Assistant Director, and Director. I was also privileged to learn the nuances of theatre direction under the mentorship of legendary theatre director, late Shri Ramaprasad Banik.My Passion & VisionAs a voracious reader of world literature, I am particularly drawn to stories that delve into human psychology, relationships, and the transformation of societal values. My ambition is to create message-driven feature films—blending creativity, improvisation, and social relevance—that not only achieve commercial success but also gain national and international recognition.Career Highlights Feature Films – Worked as Associate Director/Chief Assistant Director in critically acclaimed films like Manik (2005), Shubhodristi (2005), Priyotama (2006), Ferari Fauj (2002), Chaka and many more. Television – Assisted in multiple Bengali and Hindi serials, including Parama (Akash Bangla), Daliyar Basha (Zee Bangla), Sesh Prashna (DD-1), and Hindi telefilms for DD National. Director (Documentaries & Government Projects) – Created impactful content, including: Swachh Bharat Mission Films – Recognized by the Government of India Women Empowerment & Family Welfare Projects – For Mahila Sambriddhi Yojana & Family Planning Initiatives Cultural Documentaries & Music Videos – Including Folk Dances of India (Mandi House) and 14 music videos in Bengali, Hindi, Oriya, and Himachali.With a firm belief that cinema is a powerful medium for change, I am always open to collaborations and new creative challenges.
