Working with a team of global tech leads, group business, and functions to define, design, and execute strategic programs to reduce carbon emissions from the group\'s technology operations in line with Vision\'27 NetZero Strategy for HSBC Group Technology. Creating various working groups, analysing the carbon footprints from the tech operations, identifying the key contributors across the tech domains, setting Carbon reduction targets, upselling the funding needs with Exco, chairing working group program review meetings, tracking the progress, analysing the roadblocks, collaborative problem solving, aligning the tech heads with the achievements, recognizing Netzero champions, working closely with Data center and IT service owners to nudge towards Netzero through strategically devised programs that leads to predictive outcomes, Contributing to Global and regional netzero dashboards and ESG reports. Apart from pushing the tech operations NetZero targets, coaching various teams to innovate Carbon friendly products, process reengineering to reduce carbon footprints by introducing Green Coding concepts, actively promoting sustainable practices across the organization through Corporate Sustainability Championship, hack4sustainability roadshows, CSR campaigns on E-waste management, engaging outside SME and vendors to collect and recycle or repurpose E-waste both from corporate and employees personal e-waste. Collaborating with local, regional, and global tech teams to share knowledge and best practices through chairing internal workshops. Identifying the common problems across the teams and enabling cross-functional exchange of ideas and solutions, thus reducing the learning cycles of teams in problem-solving.
