I am a Chartered Accountant with 2.5 years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation, with a strong interest in internal audit and risk management. I am currently pursuing my MS in Accounting and Analytics at The University of Texas at Dallas, where I actively take part in leadership and professional development initiatives.I am working as an Internal Audit Intern at Trinity River Authority of Texas. In this role, I support the internal audit team by assisting with the risk assessment audit planning, walkthroughs, and testing of internal controls. I help review financial and operational processes, analyze risks, and document audit findings. This experience has given me practical exposure to internal auditing standards, compliance requirements, and enterprise risk management while strengthening my analytical and communication skills.Before coming to the U.S, I gained hands-on experience across accounting, auditing, and taxation, supporting month-end close activities, preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and filing individual and fiduciary tax returns. At Sosyo Hajoori Beverages, I worked in dual roles in accounting and consulting, where I supported both U.S. and Indian accounting requirements and collaborated with cross-functional teams.At UT Dallas, I have taken on leadership roles such as Orientation Leader and TXCPA Student Ambassador, where I help guide new students and promote engagement within the accounting community. I also recently led a university consulting project with TXCPA to launch a Young Professionals Advisory Board, focused on improving member engagement and retention.I am passionate about learning, mentoring, and giving back to the profession. I volunteered at events such as JA BizTown, Dallas IIA Fraud Summit, and Dallas IIA super conference where I support professional education initiatives.
