Hey, I’m Maddy. After starting my career in communications in Australia, I was driven by my love of languages to move to Europe in 2019. Since then, I have narrowed my focus to EdTech, specifically in the language-learning space.Along the way, I discovered my passion and talent for teaching and community building. At Babbel, I specialise in teacher community management and training, leading initiatives that empower our multilingual community of language teachers to enrich the learning experience for thousands of students worldwide. I also manage a team of 12 teacher ambassadors who run training workshops to help our teachers grow and refine their skills.Beyond my work at Babbel, I’m a skilled communicator with a knack for understanding my audience and crafting messages that resonate. I find genuine fulfilment in bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and creating meaningful connections.I bring a blend of strategic, pragmatic thinking and creative problem-solving to my work to tackle challenges and reach ambitious goals. Among my strengths are my empathy and adaptability—I tune in to people’s needs, build strong relationships, and navigate diverse perspectives and priorities to create impact and move things forward.Alongside my passion for languages, I’m also an avid (amateur) endurance sportswoman. Last year, I completed my first Ironman triathlon and proved to myself that with the right mindset, drive, and planning, we can achieve so much more than we ever imagined.To balance out my fiery energy, drive, and zealous personality, I recently completed a yoga teacher training course—bringing more mindfulness, presence, and flow into my life.
