About Madelyn Buhr

I am currently pursuing my PharmD and MBA (graduation May 2027) at Manchester University in Fort Wayne, IN. I am driven by my commitment to making meaningful impacts on my patients and the broader healthcare system through innovative, compassionate, and evidence-based pharmacy practice. I graduated with Honors and Highest Distinction from Purdue University Fort Wayne in December 2021 with a B.S. in Biology (conc. in Microbiology and Immunology), A.S. in Chemistry, and minor in Psychology. During my undergraduate studies, I was a four-time recipient of the Dr. Beaumont S. Cornell Scholarship. I have >6.5 years of community pharmacy experience at CVS Health where I have worked as both a pharmacy technician and pharmacy intern. My responsibilities include training new team members, supporting the district through various special projects, leading vaccine clinics, and resolving complex insurance issues—all of which have deepened my understanding of patient care and pharmacy operations. Prior to my work at CVS, I was recruited by the American Cancer Society immediately out of high school. My abilities to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, simplify complex processes, and leverage mine & my colleagues’ strengths set me apart from my peers. These skills have helped me maximize efficiency and build strong, collaborative teams.
