About Madeline Mertdogan
I am an RD & A Specialist at Kerry, working with Cell Nutrition, with a focus on biologics and mammalian cell culture. I have developed a cell-based assay to accelerate product testing timelines, as well as support other scientists in their work. I also have assisted the Marketing team through authoring technical application notes on our products.I have an interest in food chemistry and food microbiology. I am a former Undergraduate Research Assistant from Dr. Elvira de Mejia\'s lab, where I optimized soybean protein extraction and examined plant protein digestibility and its effects on the body. I also worked as a Course Aide for FSHN 232: Science of Food Preparation, helping facilitate labs for students to understand food science principles through various applications.I have a BS in Food Science and Human Nutrition, with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I served as the President of the Association of Food Technologists, the official professional organization on campus for food science students. I also competed on the IFTSA College Bowl team at the Midwest Regional competition.
