About Madeline Maddie Smith
I am a recent graduate of George Washington University, earning a BA in History and Political Science with a minor in Japanese Language and Literature. Through my involvement with TFA and my part-time jobs, I’ve become increasingly aware of the inequalities that many people face, particularly in academic and workplace settings. I’ve seen firsthand how systemic barriers—such as lack of access to resources, support, and opportunities—disproportionately affect marginalized groups. These experiences have fueled my commitment to using my education and future legal career to advocate for policies and reforms that ensure greater access to justice, equal protection under the law, and a more inclusive society, particularly for those who face the greatest obstacles in higher education and the workforce.
